Rider's Comments: This reservoir helps control flooding and provides a recreation area for fishing and boating. You'll find access to 2 miles of mowed turf hiking trail through a wetland north of the lake. North of the wetland area is a .5-mile loop trail and a short asphalt walking path.
Across the tracks is Raccoon Grove, which boasts a 1/2 mile trail and 210 acres of woodland maple forest! Raccoon Grove information is available from the Forest Preserve District of Will County at http://www.fpdwc.org/raccoon.cfm.
