You may access the Illinois Prairie Path by heading from the northernmost portion of the trail at Herrick Road and Butterfield.  Cross Butterfield and then Herrick.   Head north on the sidewalk.  After the High School is the Prairie path.   Head west (left) for about a mile and you will reach Blackwell Preserve.
Directions for parking: Parking is available from Butterfield Road, Herrick Road and from the Danada Forest Preserve on Naperville Road.

Rider's Comments: There is a concession building on the east side of the lake where canoe and row boats are available for rental.
